Surrounded by towering giants draped in moss and illuminated by shafts of golden light, it was easy to imagine a world untouched by modern civilisation. The scene felt almost otherworldly, reminiscent of the ancient forests portrayed in Avatar, where colossal trees rise from the earth and nature reigns supreme.
Photographed from the forest floor, this perspective reveals the immense scale and grandeur of these ancient giants, transforming the rainforest into something resembling a natural cathedral. The towering trunks become pillars, the tree ferns form a living canopy, and the filtered light pours through like sunlight through stained glass.
For a brief moment, the forest felt timeless — a place where giants once roamed and where nature continues to tell a story thousands of years in the making.

Taken under such extreme conditions from a passing storm. I called this image “ Painted Sky” as It suggests a striking scene where the sky still had remembrances of the passing storm which brought a beautiful new light . With the sun now setting the colours of red, oranges and blues, along with the natural colours of the earth made for what could only be a sky painted by mother nature herself. It’s time like these where I reflect on how fortunate I am to capture such beauty.
